During the 1880's Sir Samual Marling, (who also commissioned All Saints,) set about creating a cricket pitch on Selsley Hill. All work was done with pick and shovel, horse and cart. Selsley Cricket team first played on the pitch in 1886 and excluding the war years, the club has played there ever since.
The club's main goal is to encourage people to play cricket!. Players and volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a love of the game. If you are interested in playing cricket or helping at the ground, please contact the Club Captain, Paul Ind, on 07814 745135.
Midweek Selsley provides more social and inclusive cricket, e.g. everyone bowls, batters retire after 25 runs (not wicket keepers), and there are no LBWs etc. 2026 Fixtures list will be published here when available.
